This film is dedicated to the men of the 8th Army whose formidable task was to liberate Africa from Nazi treachery. Hitler believed that Rommel was destined to conquer Egypt and therefore bestowed upon him the title of Field Marshall.

General Alexander and General Montgomery devised the 8th Army's crowbar plan of action which enabled them to destroy Rommel's armor sending him into full retreat. The campaign lasted 80 days & covered 1400 miles spreading the fame of the Desert Army spiraling throughout the world.
